PREPARING TO GET UNDERWAY !    Speaking of underway……Let’s get those snacks underway!.  Thanks so much to our Sir and Lady Nobles for volunteering to serve!

On September 21, 2025, The Manresa Caravan Annual “Diamond Jack” Cruise was held on the Detroit River with those we love and care so much about, God’s “Special Ones.” It would be amazing if we could cure those with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities but we can’t. We can however try to “enhance moments” of their lives. With enough enhanced moments, sometimes life can be ok. That is the mission of the Alhambra. Today, our 100 guests and caregivers enjoyed, pizza, snacks, pop and water and of course “Homemade Cookies and Rice Krispy Treats! Let’s not forget our music selections by our own SN Norm Pranger or the mystical hijinks of our own Magician SN Bill Brang! This day has the makings of a GREAT DAY!!!!!

and this “photo dump” makes today’s event a wrap! Seriously speaking, we would love to be able to be like Jesus and “cure”afflictions of individuals but unfortunately we can’t. We can however, love them. Care for them and ensure they know how important they are in our lives. That is the “Mission of Service” those of us in the Alhambra embrace and try to live. I have been blessed to find this group of Catholic Men and Women. I have spent so much time in my life on “John,” it feels so good to now give time to others. God bless those who see a need and choose to serve those needs! God bless my brothers and sisters in Christ who allow me to walk with them in this ministry.
